FREE FISHING WEEKEND
Enjoy the free fishing weekend in Arkansas at Crowley's Ridge State Park! Residents and non-residents may fish anywhere in Arkansas from noon Friday, June 7, until midnight Sunday night, June 9, 2024, without fishing licenses or trout permits. Regulations for Arkansas waters apply, including daily limits, slot limits, and length limits. Loaner poles are available to borrow at the visitor center. For more information, visit agfc.com.

BACKYARD BASS
Practice your casting with a game of backyard bass. Warm-up your fishing arm by catching grass-dwelling plastic fish. This is a drop-in program. Feel free to stop by whenever you like. Meet at Lake Ponder swim beach.

CAMPFIRE TRIVIA
Test your nature knowledge with a game of trivia around a campfire. Winner will get to take home a bundle of wood to further fuel your fire. Fun for the whole family. Meet at the campfire circle across from the tent campsite.

FEED THE SNAPPING TURTLE
The common snapping turtle at Crowley's Ridge State Park is very hungry! Join a park interpreter to find out more information about our turtle friend and help make his belly full. Meet at the Visitor Center.

CICADAS: STRENGTH IN NUMBERS
The cicadas survival strategy is the power in numbers. This year is a special year for the XIX because they finally emerged after 13 years underground. Join a park interpreter to find out more abut these noisy insects. Meet at the campfire circle across from the tent campsite.

SENSORY HIKE
Hiking in the dark offers us a chance to experience the survival adaptations of nocturnal animals. Join a park interpreter for a short hike to explore some of these unique features. We will hike part of the Dancing Rabbit Trail which is moderate difficulty. Pleas wear weather-appropriate shoes and clothing and bring plenty of water. Meet at the campground bathhouse.

Celebrate Father's Day with some dad jokes! Join a park interpreter and take your dad on a hike as we read dad jokes posted along the trail. Although this program is a one-time event, the dad jokes will be posted from Saturday, June 8-Sunday, June 16. That way, the funny hiking adventure can be enjoyed at your leisure. Dancing Rabbit Trail is 1.25 miles with moderate difficulty. Please wear weather appropriate shoes and clothing and bring plenty of water. . Meet at the Dancing Rabbit Trailhead.

Many animals use camouflage to help them survive in the world. Do you think that you can spot them? Join a park interpreter and test your observation skills. Every successful participant will walk away with a stamp of approval on the back of their hand. This is a drop-in program. Feel free to stop by whenever you like. Meet at Lake Ponder swim beach.
