The Westside High School National Honor Society will be sponsoring a Terri Tyner Memorial Blood Drive at the Westside High School Library on Wednesday, April 10th from 8:30am-2:30pm.

WHS hosts a quarterly blood drive in honor of Terri Tyner, a Westside math teacher who passed away last year after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Because of the blood shortage during the pandemic, she was unable to get blood transfusions she needed in order to receive her chemo treatments. We are trying to prevent this from happening to others. One donated unit of blood can save up to three lives.

This is a free event. In fact, those who register for the drive on the Red Cross website with a valid email and attempt to donate will receive a $10 e-gift card as well as free snacks. If we meet our goal of 45 units, a Westside senior will receive a scholarship.

Schedule your donation time on the Red Cross website or app.
